Poem I wrote for a collection of short stories about the abuses I've suffered in my life.
The Stories I'll tell

I'm at school, and then you're at work
an eleven o'clock nightmare.
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

I'm the oldest, but he's not far behind
a battle of wills, the test of strength!
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

Now I'm older and miss you less,
that’s an invasion of my privacy!
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

A nineteen year old run away,
All the way across the country!
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

Oh, how I've missed you, too far away
as I grew up, now the lessons you teach.
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

Wish I could have learned life lessons
first time around, runaways don't learn.
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

The bad times I've lived
made me who I am today!
Oh, the stories I'll tell.

Forgiveness has been given with a silent
Grace of God; Screw up again?
Oh, the stories I'll tell.
