A poem for my late nana V, who passed away recently.
A beloved lady,

In a coffin she was blissfully lying,

So long her body was dying,

But she never had the heart to give up trying,

Fighting,

And now her remarkable soul is flying.

She touched the hearts of all she,

Looking too young to be a great-gran,

She gave up all she knew and wanted for the company of a man,

The wedding ring on her finger inspires how i can.

Her skin ice-cold, yet her soft lips bright ted,

Her beautiful eyes tight shut, you'd think she was asleep , if you didn't know instead. In her long life, 6 children she fed.

And now as she lies in her peace,

All of her pain will now cease,

She held her faith all the way, her rosary beads in her hand at least.

In her dying days she paid respect to God,

She took the sacrements, she forgave him for her tragic loss.

Done her wrong? It did not matter, you knew she kept her grace and her humour where you looked at her.

She was an inspirational lady,

One that cannot be forgotten,

As you see her lie in that coffin,

I'm forever bitten by her holy force, I will ensure her life is worshipped i will live in her vision,

with permission, with remorse.

Veronica Mary Nugent,

Her middle name it implied it all,

So take her up to heaven our lady,

Make sure she never falls.

Help me God to answer my call,

As she did with so much brave and wise,

To live my life the way she did,

Make sure her memory never dies.

Bless Me.
