I'm finding it harder to write poetry as my love burns out
It starts with love, a sweet embrace.
Love burns bright, falure is unacceptable
You can try, try again
No matter what, love will burn

Love burns cold, love burns strong
Love cracks, and breaks and falls
But in the eyes, of someone lost
Is always someone to be found

Love happens all the time
In busy streets, in quiet rooms
Filled with people, but all alone
Two people meet, against all odds

Then they fall, into the twisted circle
Of love, of ever-so beautiful love
Or so, one of them thought
Until that fateful night, involving betrayal

In bed with another, love was not important to her
But for the other, he felt so strong about her
He would do anything for her
Even more so for her to be happy

So out the door, without a sound
Down the steps, through the street
To the bridge, one last whisper, one simple step
Brings an end to an ever-so beautfiul, cold love
