A Solitary Cloud

A Solitary Cloud
Fluffy and light
Against the canvas blue
A picture of beauty in white!

Lighter than a feather,
Of shapes indistinct;
Really a conglomerate-
Of mere dust and steam??

Poised at a height
Alone or with friends;
Plays hide and seek with the Sun,
Creates night in day just for fun!

Pink, Purple, Pretty and Pleasant,
Dark and menacing the next instant!
Highlighted by a border silvered,
Captivates even the most embittered!

Here now, now no more,
Swept by winds to far shores
Or gathering water swells
To pour as rains and showers!

Thundering in rage and anger,
Lits up the sky with flashes silver!
A riot of colors, cacophony of sounds,
Nature’s power raw unbound!

Inherent in a tiny cloud!
