Alexander enters the Torture Chambers
Alexander shielded himself from the light. It was an angel and its countenance was majestic to behold. Alexander shook and fainted at the sight of him. The angel touched Alex and said, “Do not be afraid. Receive strength and power from the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith. The instrument used to defeat the dragon must be accompanied with all the pieces of the armour. Be wary, for the dragon and his minions are craftier than you. Use the faith you have to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one.”

Alexander received strength and rose to his feet. The angel was gone. But the devils were not. They looked at him and the Sword with such malevolence he could sense their evil and hatred in the atmosphere of Tartarus. He stopped and listened. Then the still small quiet voice said to him to follow me. He walked ahead going blindly by faith and the devils parted from him like the Red Sea parted from Moses. There were all sorts of torture tools in the area he was walking and pits of skeletons trying to climb out. Whenever someone managed to climb out, a demon would run up to it and knock it back down the pit. The shrieks and moans of terror was surrounding Alexander and he used his faith to calm himself and walked with boldness through the lower levels of hell. For this was the lower level of hell, where those who were being punished with everlasting fire in pits were tormented for their wickedness on Earth.

He passed cells of prisoners that were tormented by lesser demons. Ahead, the cavern narrowed and there was a large demon guarding the way. He stared at Alexander with hatred. He was 13 feet tall, huge eyes set in his head with bushy brows. There were spikes all over his disproportionate limbs and torso. He snarled at Alexander and said something in a language Alexander didn't know but understood somehow. He wondered at how in the world he knew what the demon was saying. Nevertheless, he know that beyond the demon was a treasure he would need to use to defeat the dragon. He took his Sword and approached the demon...
