Hi my name is Ben Stevens I am 18 years old today in fact, 5ft 10, hazel eyes I work as a sale marketing nothing that important I have a girl called Hannah she 17 and she a trainee student and works part time in clothing store. I live with my mother (45) and father (46) and they pretty cool….. Wait no they not there my parent’s ha-ha.

Chapter 1
Mum” ben wake up wake up ben!”

my mum trying to wake me I didn’t really want as I was off today and it was my birthday 18 years old now I can have my first legal drink later with my mates and my girlfriend not sure what my mum want me up for? .best stay asleep

Mum” come on I made breakfast for my growing birthday boy”

I opened my eyes seeing my mum grin on her face as she looks down at me.

”you made me breakfast well I should have more birthdays more often “I joked

“after today young man you can do all your washing and ironing since your 18 now” mum laughed

mum gotten up from my bed and left my room for a couple of seconds bringing a tray of food

I smiled “ mum you shouldn’t have i could of done this myself” then looking downing at my breakfast

mum” don’t worry just enjoy the breakfast make sure you’re ready in a hour since we got to go shopping in town“

I look back to mum with toast and egg in my mouth and nodded my head then she left my room. I continue to eat breakfast and looking down at my phone seeing all the texts I gotten saying happy birthday etc. after that I got into the shower and got ready to go out without a problem.

Ben!! Mum called I slowly walked down stairs to see what she wanted and it my aunty Clair and cousins
she had 2 boys age 8 and 10 the younger one just always running around picking on his older brother but I didn’t really care long they out of my way.
Clair” happy birthday Benjamin sorry we came at short notice but we are going to London for a play in about 4 hours so I can’t stay long. I see you grown up now what are you 6ft 2 3?

“I am only 5ft 10 with brown hair hazel eyes median build with size ten feet” I said

Clair “I don’t need all the detail anyway what you got plan for today”

I answered her but she stayed a little longer then she hoped the 8 year old Steven I think his name is started playing up within twenty minutes she left leaving me and my mum to go into town

mum drove into town as I was still learning to drive we went to all the shops she bought a couple of things I was still looking round it was pretty hopeless. Mum needed to go to the market pick up some bones for the dog up the road.

mum” I am going to go to Pete’s big pieces of meat you want to wonder round here till I get back and maybe there be something you will like”

“ok mum I meet you here in about 15 minutes” I said

she started to walk toward her stall saying “call me if anything happens”

I looked at her with a puzzled look thinking what could happen in the market is everyone like going to jump out at me. I looked round to see if people are actually going to do that I felt paranoid for a second”

stood by one stall a men was shouting out eggs for a pound while the other shouting out two fifty for prime rib per a lb. I back off a little into more quitter area of the market I looked at a stall what was selling items from vases to rugs the old lady at the stall approach me and ask me a question.

old lady “can I help you with anything young man”

“no I am find thank you am just looking i thought I needed something in my room to make it unique if you know what I mean” I said to her

lady” hmmm how about this poster of roses and flowers”

me” you joking that thing is like from the 60s and possible older then my mother”

the lady took a while to think about something eventually she pick up an old lava lamp
my right eye brow rise up as she give it to me

old lady” this is an old magical lava lamp I have this since my son was born”

my eye brow raised even higher when she said magical I wanted to laugh but I didn’t want to be rude.

“magical right……. What it do make wishes like a wishing lamp?”

“apparently yes but I lost the Manuel many years ago in a fire which still today we don’t know what cause it”

“ o ok sorry to hear that well I better go”

“wait I let you have it for five pounds that like nothing todays money”

“yeah but if it not magical do I get a refund”

“NO I mean you can have it for two pound fifty”

“ok it better make wishes “ I handed her the money and bought the lamp

“thank you I hope all your dream come true whatever whatever”

as i walk away waving goodbye I felt a little like a mug but yet again it was only two pound fifty what could go wrong”

I started walking but my mum came and found me asking me where I been. I turn round to point to her where I was then the stall was gone

I was ther….?????

dust is all I saw then I looked a little more to my left and see the stall and the old lady waving at me still my heart just skip a beat there

Mum” don’t worry we got to get home why would you want a lava lamp?”

Me “I don’t really know it looks cool I guess”

after that me and mum head home.

chapter 2

I plug the lamp in as soon I got home in my room I looked at the red and yellow patterns I called my girlfriend (Hannah) over we sometimes have lunch together at my house as I wait for here I might as well look at the lamp. I wonder why she left it dirty maybe I should rub it might work I laughed
I got a dust wipe out and slowly rub the lamb to get the dirt off it after a few moments it was good as new. My phone started to ringing and went got it. It was john he ask me if I was still out tonight I said yes but then I looked over to the lava lamp and notice a red smoke coming out of it next thing I said to john “I call you back ok bye”

I was amazed I got closer I wave my hand round in the smoke on top of the lamp shock and yet exacted same time soon a sound came out I put my ear close to it all I had was “Olleh
I didn’t understand and then again the same sound I randomly said hello not thinking what it would do talking to a lamp. Afterward it was making a sound it sounded like talking but in another language
but didn’t sound anything I can recognized I look puzzled i got a piece of paper and written I guess the letter the letter to see if it made sense I slowly waited and begin to write sehsiw eerht

“what the? what can it be not French, germen, or Spanish I really looked hard to see what I have written then I fell off my chair on what I saw. As I was looking around I notice my bedroom mirror the opposite wall I turn and see the paper saying wishes with the letters the other way round I grow freak out and I panic I reach to the wall and turn the lava lamp off I headed down stairs everything was normal mum saw me in fear but she didn’t understand and I will wouldn’t tell her what happen it was too spooky I don’t want to worry her or she might laugh.

about an hour later i felt better but not hundred % Hannah knock on the door I got up and let her in she sung happy birthday I felt a little happier

Hannah” what up ben you ok?”

ben “yeah I am ok just feel strange but still I have been looking forward to this as always” I smiled

Hannah” good ok let get cooking with got lunch to make”

we kiss as we begin to make lunch but I didn’t couldn’t stop thinking about the lamp.

I and Hannah made a lovely sag boll we sat down and we talked about the normal things in life as will always do. I started to laugh as she had some sauce on her left cheek. She looked at me thinking what I am laughing at. I point my finger to at my right cheek and then she move the hand on her own cheek and felt a wet sauce on her cheek. She smiled at me and shook her head and grabs a tissue from a box and slowly rubs against her face to clean on her left over Lunch. After that we clean up and I took her up to my bedroom where we begin to kiss as we always do.

Hannah” Ben we still going out tonight but all I got hold of is john and Jamie”

I protested “what about everyone else Aaron, Adam, Carol, what about big Joe?”

Hannah “Sorry Ben I tried” she holds my hand and frown at me I turn my head as I was disappointed

“ok….. 3 friends are better than none I guess so but everyone going be ready about 7ish”

Hannah “your worrying too much again just calm down everything fine”

“your right” I lean over and give her a kiss and then we spend some alone time together well until the lamp decided to interrupt us. I look over to see the yellow and red glow from the lump Hannah look and laughed at the ugly object but my view was different my heart begin to beat faster as I remember I turn off the lamp off by the wall I turn my head to the mains and too see it was turn on I panic a little but it only been me, Hannah and mum been home I turn back to Hannah she stop laughing when she saw the flight in my face
Hannah “is everything alright it just a lava lamp did your mum get it for you?”

“No I got it this morning and I turn it off by the wall but I don’t understand how it was switch back on?”

Hannah “your mum home maybe she did” Hannah had a point there maybe she came in to see the lava lamp I bought I am going to leave it as mum did it I don’t want to cause any more fuse I got up and turn it off.

After a few hours Hannah head home to get ready for tonight i took my time to get ready I wanted to look perfect. But as I shower shave all I kept doing was thinking about the lamp the more I think about the more stupid I feel. Questions and questions was running though my head I looked at my hands to see them shaking as I got out the shower I quickly checked the time and notice I got an hour and a half free time. I begin to turn the lamp on and I sat down with my towel round me with my pen and paper and I waited for the lamp to speak to me it took it time but it did in the end
“Sehsiw eerht” I repeated it and I said three wishes then something else the lamp said
“ylesiw sehsiw ruoy esu esruc eno hsiw eno” I slowly wrote down what I think what was said but all I knew is that it said wishes or wish twice I started to think maybe I should just make a wish and see if it happens but first at the mirror and all I see is one wish one blur, blur ,blur wishes, blur I couldn’t get the other words. i lean my head forward towards the lamp I begin to speak “lamp I wish for unlimited wealth actually let start something small I wish for my body muscle becomes more tone like I been body building for years.

Detnarg was heard my nerve when all over the place as I didn’t know what to aspect. I got off my chair and walk around a little bit until I felt it I looked and saw my arms expanding changing fat into muscle head to toe my stomach shrunk then expand show off a 6 pack
