I was looking at the mountain top when to my surprise I saw something standing on the tallest mountain’s rise It was partially covered by clouds a whisping by And I began to want to see what stands before my eyes I began to climb the base while keeping my eyes fixed On my destination, it looked like a crucifix The hazards that I came across were hard to overcome But my determination kept me climbing on and on The closer that I came to it the more I was amazed For it was the tallest thing that ever held my gaze Finally I stood atop the tallest mountain’s rise My hands and feet were bleeding at the end of my long climb And standing there in front of me was quite a loving sight For the center of a rugged cross was filled with warm, glowing light The doorway of my Father’s house was beckoning to me The next thing that I noticed was I’d fallen on my knees “My Father, I thank You for the love You’ve shown to me I’m honored that You’re invitation also includes me” With that my feet began to move into the loving light…….. If you’re one of those people who must always know the end Climb that rugged mountain and follow me in 4/4/2008 |
