Chapter Two and a HALF The bathroom door swung shut, cutting off the giggle of her companion to the people in the hallway. "That was close." she thought, "It’s far too early in the game to be found out." "That went great!" her companion grinned, looking up at her. "Did you see his nose get stuck on her sweater? That was awesome! I wonder if he rubbed snot all the down? Ha! Wasn't that great? Gee, I hope his head is okay for basketball practice this afternoon. Good thing there's no game until Friday night. He should be all healed up by then with nothing more than a bump on his head. Did you see him fall? It wasn't even a collapse; it was more like he folded. Wow, I bet women in the 1800s who used to faint all the time would have loved to have been able to faint so, so, ladylike! Ha! " She glanced at her companion who was actually jumping a little as she spoke. She reached in her bag and walked to the mirror. "Yes, I saw it. It was very humorous." She answered while reapplying her lip gloss. "Don't lose sight of what we're doing, though. I'm after more than just a good chuckle here. Artemis will pay for all the slights of the past and if the only way I can collect is to make her future a living hell, then that's what I'll do." She snapped the cap back on the lip gloss and turned to her companion. "We're late for class, lets go." |
