Painted rocks in the distance
Great rainbow walls
Forged by the sun
In the furnace of Chihuahua
A single color, a single tone
Till from the furnace
Till from the forge
Till from the prism
They burst into rainbow

Air wavering, the colors run
Into each other one atop his brother
The world is paint, light seeks and finds
The rocks just stand, sponges
Earth racing into the colors
Sun's reflected infinity
Giving each other light
Giving each other life
Giving each other communion
Giving each other birthright

The light gives the image
The Image of the
Painted Desert... is God
