It Was All A Dream

Shaken from a dreamless sleep.
Dazed and confused as I look around.
Steps onto the cold floor of an unknown room.
Blank walls bare of any indications.

No one around for questions to be asked.
Only one door with no key to open.
Laying in the bed wishing to escape.
Hoping the dreams take me away.

Drifting back to sleep and awaken again.
Walking back and forth all around.
No key is needed for the door.
Hastily making an escape.

Empty hallway long and dark.
Running as fast as possible to get out.
Find a door to lead outside.
Run for my life.

The door is open to the edge of the world.
"I was wondering when you would wake."
Cold hands on my shoulders.
Pushed.
