Caroline was only nine
In the dead of winter
I hear a cry
A ghostly figure stands nearby
Watching
Waiting
Wondering what has happened to her
She sees
She hears
She can't breath
Around her ... Darkness
Pushing and pulling
A light is near

Across the lake
On the other side
There they work
Side by side
They shiver and shake
Quiver and quake
Searching for it...
For Her
She can see them
They can't see her
Tape surrounds them
So no one will pass
Hoping to find her before she passes

They are to late I fear
Fore She is here
And they are there
She turns away
Headed to the light
As She dissappears
Across the shore
They find Her
Blue and white
They are in fright
Fore they found Her
Sweet Caroline...
Who was only nine.
