She has been alone for centuries. Can she find what - or who - she needs? (Adult Content)
The Sanguine Song

Hunger appears in eyes dark as kohl
as urgent needs entrench.
The crimson drops that feed her soul
cannot her longing quench.

The centuries have run their course
and she has paid the price.
Her heart is filled with deep remorse.
It holds her like a vice.

The loves she's known are long since gone;
their remains turned to ash.
Yet in her heart they still lived on:
the reluctant and the brash.

The music of their racing blood
still haunts her in dreams.
The siren song of passion's flood
can still be heard, it seems.

A growing hunger fills her mind;
her lust in flesh is rife.
Yet, her searches could not find
that missing spark of life.

The chorus of her needs fall mute.
She hears the sweet refrain
and feels her heart rise in pursuit
of magic once again.

Old memories cannot deter.
He stands at the end of day.
His blood-song mesmerizes her;
she cannot turn away.

She feels in him a kindred need
born of craving's heat.
With no desire to mislead,
the truth is offered as they meet.

He does not hesitate. His sin
is he cannot control
the sanguine melody within
that entwines his soul.

In blazing wantonness they feed
with touch and taste and more.
He offers into her his seed;
she plays his docile whore.

The lay together, both panting,
as heat begins to wane,
and yet there is no recanting;
there's nothing to explain.

This is a union meant to be,
ordained by dark gods.
He whispers, "For all eternity."
Gone are all facades.

With a quick strike, she obeys his voice,
feeling his body spasm.
They consummate this final choice
joined in an orgasm.

The tell-tale gray of coming day
doesn't raise any alarms.
Time doesn't matter as they lay
in each other's arms.
