What to say when you're put up on a pedestal?
Why is it you think
of me bright?
With a brain that clinks
and eyes of poor sight?

You are mistaken,you must be.
This bright girl you speak of it sure ain't me.

Quote Dickinson and Plath,
that I can do by heart.
But question me in math
and you'll see I'm not smart.

A book I can read
In a day or two.
Ask me to recede
from books and I know not what to do.

I can paint the seas and skies,
almost like reality.
Ask me the form reprise
and I'll stare at you blankly.

Most follow the world
And I, I follow the fake.
If I glance at the real world
I don't know what I can take.

So next time you think
of me more astute than I am,
push me off the brink
and see me as I am.
