Prelude: Notebook

A young male walked up towards a plain, dull brown desk. His slender, milk chocolate hue finger flicked on a nearby lamp, allowing his features to flicker into view. His black as night hair style consisted of several bangs dripping down upon his face like icicles, and spiked slightly towards his right side. The male sat down, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, slightly ruffling his plain white shirt. He then opened a small, black notebook which was resting undisturbed on the desk, took out a pen, and flipped to an empty page. He opened his eyes, revealing them to be a glimmering gold color, and tapped his pen to the empty page before beginning to write.

Good evening journal. Is that how I should start this? I'm not exactly sure, this is my first time ever writing a journal entry. But the doctors told me that if I kept up with this, I wouldn't have to visit them so much; I think it's a much better deal than being poked and prodded for hours on end. I really don't know what to put here for my first entry...so I guess I'll just spurt out random thoughts. I don't know why I'm such an interest to doctors and scientist anyway; just because my eye color is different. Sure, I was born with brown eyes, but it's not completely unheard of for people's eye color to change. It's not like my vision is any different and as far as I know of, I'm not firing heat blast through my eyes. It's really annoying, especially because people treat me like a local legend or tourist attraction. The fact that I have to wear sunglasses in the middle of February makes me look really bizarre. Ah well. On a brighter note, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I finally have enough money to treat my girlfriend to something special after classes tomorrow. They should change that whole, you've got to be sixteen years old to work thing for future generations. Thankfully, my birthday came last month. Now I'm just rambling, and now that I think about it, I'm boring myself. That's why I can't understand how my thoughts and daily events are so interesting. I'm Raiden Highguard not Barack Obama. I'm nothing special, I'm simply me. Nothing exciting ever happens around here..
