Closing of a chapter in a young girls life..
Glad to see you have made it out of the past
I'm so happy it happened without me being there
I sat down and thought about the facts
Things made sense for about two seconds
We were distant friends, constant flirts but no dirty acts
Until one day you got bold
You decided to step outside of our unwritten agreement
I thought to myself... How dare you?
Intrigued because of something different
Caught off guard but I liked it, until I regained consciousness
I allowed you to do the unthinkable and regretted every moment
Respect for you had slowly drifted to none after some years of allowance
You tried to convince me of change but that's the one thing I doubted
So I left...
Swore to myself that I would never let it happen again
I was convinced that you were the blame
Hitting play on the mental record that said... if it wasn't for you, my emotions would be different
But as you can see I forgave you
I have officially let it go
I reallize that it was all me
You're older but I should have been the bigger one
We saw the passing of this chapter and now we have moved on
Now I see we can agree
so far, only on this one
