Spouses are to eachother...
I stumble across this garment
I find the texture to be unique,
I hope it provides protection
and holds other qualities I seek.

I hope...

I hope this garment will shade me
From the burn of the Devil’s heat,
And being soaked in desire for possessions
And humiliating defeat.

I hope it can provide support
When trials blows me left to right,
I’ll clutch tightly to my garment
With my end goal always in sight.

I hope it’ll provide warmth and safety
From the cold harsh influence of snow,
And cover up my faults and bruises
So that others may not know.

Travelling on life’s windy road
I’ll use it as a head rest,
Or use it as a prayer mat
Bringing me close to God in this test.

I hope to grow attached to my garment
From it, I will not want to part
I hope it envelopes me in happiness
And captures my awaiting heart

In return…

I will pay attention to my garment
Keeping it presentable and neat,
Ironing out creases of bad character
Admiring it as my treat.

If my garment loses a button
Or I notice a painful tear,
I will sew back its emotions
And try to help it repair.

If my garment becomes contaminated
Or covered with the Devil's dirt,
I will wash and restore its focus
From hellfire, prevent it getting hurt.

I will hang it in a cupboard
Treating it with utmost respect,
And adorn it with accessories
So that my gratitude it can detect.

I’ll try to save my garment
From being frayed with laziness and greed,
And hope for the same in return
In the life that I lead.

I’ll wear my garment proudly
Telling everyone I meet,
It’s great qualities and support for me
With each and every heart beat.

I’ll be grateful for my garment
As others have not been so blessed,
Whose garments failed to provide for them
and wished in another, they were dressed.

I will walk through life confidently
The days passing one by one,
I thank God for my garment
My life has only just begun…
