It's really a simple concept that I started with. I've always been somewhat fascinated with the idea of perfection. What exactly makes something perfect. Is it truly the absence of flaws? Or is it the flaws themselves that create the perfection. Since I read a lot of fantasy books too I thought I should stick to what I know. I don't want to talk too much about what the story is about because I don't want to give to much away. In a nutshell, the world I've created is trying to reach perfection (a world without flaws). The world has one cycle to get it right. The end of a cycle is marked by then end of fall right before winter hits. One of the major cities in the world is chosen to survive at the end of the cycle. The city chosen has the Door open somewhere in it's walls. Those chosen get to go inside of the door and will survive the winter to repopulate the world. After the world is destroyed by winter and the world repopulated in spring the people will try to make the world perfect again.
Three people are needed to open the Door. The Door Keeper, The Book Keeper and the Lore Keeper. If one of the three is missing the door will not open, and the whole world will perish. So guess what happens. Yes, one of them is going to go missing. The rest I want people to find out as they go.
