The following is a tale which causes one to ponder the purpose they are called to serve.
The story is a fantasy which delves deep into the heart of humanity and what happens when society influences judgment. It is a tale which causes one to redirect or ponder the purpose unto which they truly are called to serve. The main character or messenger if you will represents the good intentions of human kind. It is as if she has been called upon to deliver a message which she only holds the key to its answer. There is lots of imagery and dialogue which add a sensibility and beauty to the abrupt ending of the story as the orator closes the giant book which rests on the podium in front of her.

The crowd held their heads upward. The orator began to speak. Thousands of eyes were attentive with ears engaged and mouths silent. Before them  stood a statuesque woman draped in floating silk garments that billowed onto the floor. Upon the podium the she held a giant book.  Each page gleamed at the edges as she read aloud.  It was clear she needed no book to convey the message she was called upon to deliver. She did so with heartfelt truth, conviction, humility great wisdom and apathy. Her voice carried like a cloud over the gathering room. It was soft but emphatic, stern and gracious, taking into consideration the moments where it was necessary to be as such. Her crystal blue eyes danced across the pages as she turned each between her pale fingers. Gazing over the crowd the orator paused and began again as that of a beating heart. She spoke these words.  We come into this world blank and untouched, innocent and not knowing. Our courses unmapped.  Truth and honesty yet very separate things. Overtime our innocence dissipates and we become over filled with knowledge of which most is wasted.  Our canvases over wrought with too many images and ideas to decipher at one time. Lies become necessary and truth an end to a means. No thought is our own. We become untruthful and selfish, jaded and cruel to each other in reprehensible ways." "The time has come for us to accept our flaws, take accountability for those whom we hurt, to take notice of our distasteful behaviors." "The challenge to hold true to your purpose is perpetual and will be tested, but you must fight to prevail against demonstrating cruelty unto your brother-en." In the past is left what use to be.  "In the present there is opportunity to amend your wrong doings by replacing them with good deeds." The past lead you here to this place in time and is never to be forgotten. It is this moment that is most crucial to you all to demonstrate all that is good within in you for the betterment of not just yourselves but for all of mankind, organic and animal."  The orator continued. "In the world after or beyond this, none know what comes if at all." "This could be the last opportunity you will have to make your lives and the lives of those who may sometime from now come after you meaningful”.  "Do good deeds and they shall in some manifestation come back to you many fold”.
Be good to thy neighbor in hopes they may be inclined to extend you the same courtesy. The orator pointed in the direction behind the crowd to a door where a beam of light shown through.
"Through the doors from whence each of you first came you shall return." The crowd remained silent and mindful.  "Friends will betray you and perhaps those you love may forsake or abandon you."  "Strangers will judge you without knowing." "Hold true to yourselves”. "The flaws and insecurities of others are not for you to bear”. "In the end the vessel which contains all that you are or have become will empty.  When all the world turns away who will you cling to? Embrace and be all that this universe has crafted you to be". Hold not your head in doubt, regret or shame".
"The universe as we know it will surely dissipate.  We could perhaps very well have been designed to exist never more. Live a good life and live it now." She closed the book, the lights went dim and she was gone.  In unison everyone stood and began to make their way to the dispersing hall.  I thought about all the orator had spoken, her calm graceful, demeanor, piercing blue eyes, the billowing silk garment she wore and most of all the giant book she held dearly in her grasp... In that moment a fleeting emotion overtook me that my existence was a strategic design by some force beyond my comprehension.
It was the book that contained the infinite knowledge of the world.
