Ebony

She was dark as the night,
such a beautiful girl,
loved by everyone she ever met.
She gave nothing but love,
never wandered to far
but always close by to comfort me.
She always seemed to smile,
her face was all aglow
with her secret grin of happy memories.
She was with us for 14 years
of her 16 year life.
We were blessed to have her.
She was more than just a dog,
she was family & friend.
My precious girl was Gods gift to me.
She left us on an August Sunday
to soar with the angels.
She will always be, my sweet Ebony.
