Too Young
She was too young to be a mother
I mean she was only fourteen
She had places to go
She had so many dreams
Her world came crashing down
She wanted to be seen
She wanted to be found
She held that test
And held me closer to her side
We both cried and cried
That guy that was supposed to be there
In her greatest time of need
Left her at a hospital at only fourteen
I called her at her house to see if she was okay
She answered the phone crying saying ‘’I lost my baby’’
Now she’s still searching in all the wrong places
At least she has a friend by her side
Staying with her for life’s long ride…
