All alone in the dark

here I am and you're not.

I was down and you kicked me.

I cried

and you laughed.

My heart bled

and you stabbed it.

I screamed for help,

but you ignored me.

I reached out to be held,

but you ran from me.

I needed help,

but all you gave me was grief.

Yet,

whenever you were in the dark,

I led you to the light.

When you were down,

I picked you up.

You cried,

and I cried with you

and for you.

You reached out to be held,

and I held you.

You needed help,

and I helped you.

Why did you abandon me when I needed you most?!
