What a Dragon football team does before and after a big game.
Imagine trying to sit through seven classes, and all you can think about is playing football. That is how I feel every Friday and Monday. Playing football gives me a big rush. Let me tell you about a night of football.

Beeb!!! The bell rings, and I walk out of the class and head to the looker room. I get my jersey and pants from the managers. I walk to my locker and open it. I see my pads on the bottom of my locker, and I sit down on the bench and put on my pads and my game pants. I get my shoulder pads and put my jersey on them. After that I put my football pants on and then my shoulder pads on. I tuck my jersey in my pants. Everyone around me is getting ready, and Coach walks in. The locker room goes silent, and we wait for Coach to start talking. He talks though the plays with us and pumps us up to win that big game. We all leave to pile on to the bus and head to the field.

On the way to the field I rather enjoy the ride because it gives me time to think. We finally get to Hutch Field and walk off the bus and get people pumped for the game. We stand next to all the team stretching and giving each other pep talks. A few of the guys go to the fifty yard line and have the coin toss. The Dragons win the coin toss and choose to kick off. It’s time to play ball. The game goes like every other game: big hits, hard tackles, long passes, even some fumbles. And in the end the Dragons come out with a big win. We shake the other team’s hand and head to the bus.

When we get back to the school, we change in the locker room and wait for the coach’s second speech. He tells us we did a great job, and he had a amazing time coaching the seniors. He tells us we will have practice Monday, everyone except the freshman because we have a game on Monday. Then we all get a break down in the locker room and leave to go eat. I leave that locker room knowing that this will all start over on Monday because I will have the big game and get to be in the Monday night lights.
