"Stay Focused Poetry" is inspiration for believers and information for those who don't. |
This poem is based on the following scripture. Mine is a sense of urgency to remain hidden in Christ. (read Gal 2:21) My plans went down with the net. (read Math 4:18-20) Genesis 3:24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. Psalm 14:2-3 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are altogether become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no not one. When the good die young whose fault is that? Un-reconciled hearts blame God. There is none good says the Word no not one. Adam decided on Eve’s advice. Neither suffered love of the Word. Knowledge of good and evil blinded their eyes. The cross echoes no man was capable. No man was capable! No man was capable! Not one. The Son became a flaming sword to guard the way. Classic knowledge of good and evil versus the tree of life, God’s version denies man’s verdict of lies. Good person exists in anecdotes, happy end of stories giving men hope. What the world fails to offer subtly replicated by laws, in morals. Good person lives in day-dreams and happy outcomes. What would humanity be like without those? Sinful heart says “there are plenty worse than you.” They walk near the narrow path all the way through. Never let it out of their sight because they’re so close. But it’s the replica they obey on a short cut, near the way. Common sense is not equipped to differentiate a tare from wheat. So if you find you’re a good person with an un-reconciled heart. Repent! Salvation is not possible for the good only for the hidden in Christ. MJJaymz 2010 ` |
