A yaoi-style story of a young man named Shinobu. He finds a strange note on his desk. |
Shinobu Chapter 1 ~ Days It all started on the day I was late for school. My mother called from down the stairs, "Shinobu! You're going to be late!" I had over-slept. I quickly slipped on my uniform slacks and rushed downstairs. "Hehe, sorry um..but could you drive me to school? Heh.." I stumbled with my words, knowing my mother did not like to drive at all. "Ughhh, do I have to tie your shoes next?" She rolled her eyes. It was a very rushy morning. My mother was scrambling around the kitchen, even though she wasn't even making breakfast. I looked around the house for my new, blue backpack. I had just bought it the day before. My old one, an old dirt brown bag, was chewed up by a dog my mother was pet-sitting. I don't mind my mother being a pet-sitter. But I wish she would find someplace else to do it besides our house! "Okay, are you ready?" My mother jingled the keys in my face. I nodded and ran to the car. "Ohh..." I moaned, "Sensei is going to kill me." My mother sped down the street, barely dodging upcoming traffic. I looked at the window at my own reflection. I sunk into my seat. I look awful... Unfortunately, I'm not the best looking guy there is. In fact, I think I'm one of the worst. My best friend, Taka, was the one with all the looks. He's tall, muscular, and has a perfect smile! I smiled at the window. I stopped seeing the people in the car next to us giving me funny looks. My mother pulled in front of my school. "Go hurry!" she shouted, quickly giving me a kiss, "have a nice day!" I quickly run into the school. I find my room and quickly apologize. "I'm sorry, Sensei!" I accidentally shouted, while bowing. My Sensei looked at me sternly. "Well, it seems you'd rather write notes to people and sleep then get your education. Is that it, Shinobu?" I looked at her, somewhat confused. "I'm sorry Sens-" "Don't let it happen again!". I kept my head low and quickly found my seat. There was a note on it. I picked up the folded piece of paper, looking front and back for a name. No name. I opened it. It said, Dear Shinobu, One day. Wait for me. Love, Tatsu. "Who's Tatsu?" I mumbled. "Shinobu!" my Sensei said, startling me. I looked up. "Uhh...ermm...Sorry Sensei!" The class laughed and I reddened. Today is going awfully. Oh no... I thought, remembering I forgot my backpack. Could this day get any worse?! Still....who is Tatsu? Chapter 2 ~ Tatsu Sunday. Finally, no school. I stared up at my ceiling. "Yet, even though there's no school, I'm still bored." I said to myself. It was still early in the day. I decided to walk over to my friend Taka's house. It'll take my mind off this Tatsu person. I put on some jeans and a long-sleeved shirt under a green T-shirt. I looked at myself in the mirror. Ugh.. I looked absolutely hideous. I mean what girl in their right mind would go out with me? I shook my head. "Who cares if I get a girl or not.." I looked at myself one last time and shot out the door. I looked down at the sidewalk as I strolled passed houses. I pass a boy a little older then me. He was walking a German shepherd and looked quite handsome. He was tall, fairly muscular. His hair was a void black. He wore a cool band T-shirt and black skinny pants. Even his dog looks cooler then me... I thought as I leaned down to pet him. Usually someone as cool as that guy would've ignored me or said something rude. He simply smiled at me. I didn't know what to do. I looked at him, dumbfounded. "Uhh..Hi, my name is Shinobu." I said, looking stupid. "Tatsu." He said. I looked at him shocked. What?! Is this guy serious?! My jaw dropped. He winked at me and smiled. My heart stopped beating for a second. I ran in the direction for Taka's house. I could hear his German Shepherd barking behind me. I didn't stop. I couldn't stop. I ran straight passed Taka on the sidewalk. "Hey, Shinobu! What's wrong?!" He yelled after me as I kept running. I finally stopped at a near-by park. People passed me as if I were just a jogger in the park. I sat on a bench. I was out of breath and panting. THAT was Tatsu?! Who is he? How come I've never seen him at school? I looked up at the trees once I finally caught my breath. I felt tired. I decided to put my head in my lap and close my eyes. I woke up several minutes later to something licking my hand. It was a German Shepherd. I petted him and was startled to see Tatsu as well. "Hey, look I don't want any..um trouble." He chuckled. "By your reaction, I see you got my note." He said smiling. "Yea...what did that note mean anyway? One day?" I said. He let go of the dog's leash. "Go play, Nuka." I looked at him. "Well..?" He stepped towards me, a little closer then expected. "You've already waited." He whispered. I blushed but I didn't mean to. He smirked and said, "You know, you're kinda cute up close." I wanted to step away but I couldn't. Is he...hitting on me? I tried to find an excuse to leave. "I have to..umm..go to do something. Heh, I nearly forgot-" He gently grabbed my arm and pulled me closer. "Why are you blushing?" He asked quietly. I covered my face quickly, trying to hide it's glow. He carefully pulled my hand away and put his lips towards mine. They briskly touched before he whispered, "I love you, Shinobu." He pulled away and started walking in the opposite direction. I couldn't feel my hands or face. My whole body was on edge and tingling. After about one hundred paces, he finally whistled for his dog. He came darting towards him and he continued walking side by side. I didn't know what I was feeling...What just happened? To be continued... |
