This is a really mean poem I wrote about someone NOT named Joshua. Riiiiiight. (Sorry.)
Joshua, you're not the boy I thought you were
I can't keep up with your hasty defeat
The next time you go walkin'
Remember, it's down the road
Not across the street

I have weathered bigger storms than this
But I have forgotten how to swim
I fell deep into your shallow kiss
Now I'm drowning in your whim

Joshua, I'm the girl that would have fought for ya
I could have been your doctor, your tailor
Your lover like no other
I want to cut you to ribbons
Stitch you back together

I have weathered bigger storms than this
But I have forgotten how to swim
I fell deep into your shallow kiss
Now I'm drowning in your whim
