Writing assignment lesson 2 for Comma Kazi
Ayana stood back up and walked around the ballroom. Unlike the day before,(6a) she felt safe here. She wondered how much longer she could stay in a place like this,(1) and jumped as she heard her phone ring from downstairs. However,(7) the dare included staying the night in the ballroom,(5) taking an item from the ballroom,(5) and getting a picture of the ghost. She wasn't going to leave until she completed all of it.

She picked up the book she brought with her and fllipped through it. The heavy,(3a) red (3b)hardcover(3b) ghost story told the history of this place. As she was flipping through the book,(2) she saw something from the corner of her eye. Well,(8) she didn't see anything there now.

She heard a noise coming from the corner of the room,(1) and walked over to it. She bent over and picked up a rose (4c) that had not been there before. She turned around and walked back to the table where her book lay and sat down next to it. Reading through the book she saw that others had the same experiences as her. She sighed and put the rose in the book (6b)closing it right after.

She fell asleep in her sleeping bag. Something shook her awake and she opened her eyes to see what was there. She found nothing. She tried to go back to sleep. Something bugged her and she sat back up.

Ayana found someone staring out of the window,(1) and she went to see who it was. The guy turned and looked at her for a moment, (1) but then he disappeared. She cursed and wished that she brought the camera with her. She went back to lay down and didn't close her eyes this time. She would catch a picture of that ghost soon. The ghost did not appear again.

Amaya closed her eyes(1) and pretended to sleep. Still,(8) the ghost didn't show up. She fell asleep soon after that,(1) and nothing disurbed her again.

The next morning she still didn't have a picture of the ghost. She took the rose and the book and left the ballroom. She called her friend(4b) who had lent her the camera(4b) when she got down there. Next she called her other friend (4b)who lent her the book. Finally she called her boyfriend,(4a) who had blonde hair and blue eyes,(4a) and was going to come pick her up for their date that day.
