A bride's thoughts at her wedding day.

White laces and pearls
Today is the day
Everyone was waiting for.
And my heart was thumping just as madly

Putting in the tiara
and whirling about
with my white princess dress,
but then I remembered

Daddy walked towards
and fixed a strand of hair;
Melancholy eyes trying to smile
I said dad don't cry;
But then sweet tears fell

He touched my blushed cheek
and called me baby girl.

First day of school I remember
Walking with me who's so little
Ridden at his back
and crying like crazy

But then I continued to school;
His heavy but sweet voice
Hushed me like no one could

and my first bicyccle ride
I never fell but well,
I never learned too
for his caring hands held me with unconditional love

My first heartbreak
Mom didn't know
But then I was crying
Quietly in papa's shoulder

Now I thought I must be the one
to wipe his tears off
But then he raised his hand
and dried my cheeks from tears

Oh papa, my darling
let me wipe you tears
do you want me to walk
Down the isle looking like this?

Now it's about time
I leaned closer and kissed his cheek
tears now falling from my eyes
We stood up and I put my arm in his

Now are you ready
he said and Yes I nodded
Squared we walked down the hall

Daddy please hold me
please watch over me
Do not let me fall
I know you will,for
you never left me all this time.
