Course of Light

Racing to the heavens of a waking sky,
Crimson and yellow join and blaze
Terra running with lively pyre
Rays of effulgence bring forth the day.

Stillness sets in as refreshment fades
Harmonious winds run free through the air
A contented orange warms the blue of day
The living run freely, jovial and debonair.

Fluorescent across the midnight black,
Watching as the treetops careen
Immersing night in ivory back and back
Leaving the fearsome night silent and serene.
