Peace and serenity
Are said to be so cliche
Burning up with envy
Is said to be so risqué
Depression and instability
Classified as odd and anti-social
But with such stereotypes
Come youth in revolt.
We fight, we cry, we drug, we drink.
We're looked down upon as if we don't know how to think
As if we're naive and irresponsible in our actions
As if we're looking for every possible form of distraction
But as we bite our lips out of simple spite
We make eye contact with eachother, a simple agreement to unite.
As we broaden our minds with truth and fairness
We're scolded and told we lack discipline and awareness
But here we stand, the walking future after you
We'll live much longer and we'll know more than you do
So say you stand corrected or be prepared for the truth
We're rebelling, we're revolting, we're the bitter-made youth.
