Kris looked over at the calnander on the wall and blinked his blue eyes the date read October 20th 1914 the smell of seawater was in the air and Kris started out the window he was on a merchant ship in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. The ship was bound for Europe with needed supplies for the war effort the American government although trying to stay neutral in the war raging in Europe had been sending supplies over to the allied forces which included a country that he himself was familiar with England, Kris had been hired to ensure the safety of the ship as it made it’s journey across the alaatic. It had taken him a week to get to the east coast via train from his hometown of tombstone Arizona and he was gonna spend another moth or so at sea but the pay was good he scratched his beard and thought about home how tombstone had declined in recent years with people moving to Bisbee and how after 16 years as a lawman the era of the wild west had come to a close and he was just an old relic of yesteryear . Kris looked down and polished his old town marshal star and placed it in the breast pocket of his tan shirt he liked to keep that badge close to his heart as a good luck charm. Suddenly a he explain was heard and Kris heard someone scream that the ship had been hot the force of the impact knocked him back and he quickly grabbed his hat and his shoulder holsters, Kris quickly strapped the belts around his waist and back and holstered the bronze plated peacemakers under his arms. He then ran out and saw that the ship had been hit smoke was pouring up and water was pouring into the hole, “Hmm not good…this ship looks like its going down” Kris made his way towards the port side of the ship and looked over the railing there was a shadow just under the water thinking fast he jumped into a newly lifeboat as he and the survivors evacuated off the ship he could see the underwater form moving away in the distance. “What in the hell just hit us ?” Kris said aloud as the lifeboat contain him and several wounded survivors crashed into the sea below.
