Prosaic Lyrics by a George Strait Fan

I believe country music is not about any particular part of any particular country, regardless of places mentioned. It isn't defined by nationality but by the hearts of people of all nations. It echoes country peoples’ strength to face up to, and overcome, life’s challenges. The songs tell us that every problem we have is a lesson from which we can learn. With country music we should never be alone or uneducated.
That’s the wonderful thing about music, no accents, no language barriers. With or without words, there is a story in every piece of music waiting for each individual to interpret it, as they will. No rules. No guidelines. Just magic: the magic of bringing a personal message to all who can hear it.
Songs are poetry with a musical accompaniment.
I'm not a poet or lyricist. I like to think I'm a story teller. Grammatically, my writing is below par but I don't feel bad about that. I measure the success of my writing by the stories told.
It's always been, and always will be, about the story. So don't expect anything other than that....a story.
If one reader can enjoy, relate to, or gain something from one of my stories then I need no other plaudits.
Country music fans are a community of battlers and survivors and though my lyrics will never become songs, they allow me to tell some of those people's stories.
In any review, by all means tell me about the grammatical errors or a failure with rhyme or rhythm. However, I would love to know if the story reached you personally.
