My Brother is kiling himself with xanex

HI my name is Jessica,

My brother is 27 years old and is addicted to Xanex. I cant stand sitting around and watching him slowly kill himself. Every time i see him he is stumbling all over things, falling asleep in mid sentances, hes confused, and cant even hold things in his hand. Even worse he is in denial about the whole thing, he says he takes benadryl... Which if he does the Xanex is still gone the 2-3 day he gets his perscrption of 60 pills to last him a month. He steals things everytime he gets the chance to get money to go buy more xanex.

My family has tried to help him. we offered rehab, we threatned him with calling the cops or taking him to the hospital. We even all sat down with him and tried to have a talk with him about how he isnt just hurting his self hes hurting the whole family and we love him but somethings got to change. And all he says is and i quote " Man i don't give a f*** about what anyone has to say, I take benadryl" Then later on that day with his friends you can hear him brag about how much xanex he just took. Its to the point now to where i cant even stand to be around him, it makes me fell sick to see someone doing that to themselves. I called his doctor office and had told them that he has been abusing his drugs and selling his other medication to buy more zanex. He cant get a job, his unemployment just got cut off he owes them over $8,000. and he cant keep a vehicle without wrecking it and he is soon to lose his appartment.

If anyone has any advice as to how to go about talking to him or anything it would be greatly appriciated.
