China has attacked the U.S. mainland with little warning.
WASHINGTON, DC 0530
The phone next to the bed President Hal Glawson started ringing and he sluggishly rolled over and looked at the clock. He picked up the phone. "Glawson."
"Mr. President, " the commander of CENTCOM, which was the headquarters of the U.S. military began "We just got multiple reports from the California National Guard that there are Chinese soldiers dropping from planes near Pacific Coast Highway, they're commandeering civilian vehicles and heading north towards San Francisco. There are also fighter/bombers taking out National Guard airfields and bases, the commander at NORAD said they somehow hacked into our system and shut down the Beale PAVEPAWS station and they got through without us knowing." Hal hung up the phone and went into another room and turned on the TV and watched the news as soldiers and figher/bombers attacked civilian buildings as well as National Guard bases, attempting to keep us from retaliating. Many National Guard units from across the country mobilized in trucks as the local police shut down major highways to ensure rapid deployment. 2nd Battalion, 153 Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division deployed from Searcy, Arkansas 10 hours after the Chinese paratroopers landed.

INTERSTATE 5, APPROXIMATELY 60 MILES SOUTH EAST OF SAN FRANCISCO, 2200
First Lieutenant Johnathan Sager, who was in charge of this platoon was giving instructions to his platoon on what to to once they arrive. "We are a couple of hours out from Edwards Air Force Base. They are currently HQ for California's defense since the Chinese's attacks have only spread 30 miles from San Francisco. Once we get there leave the truck and go into the designated hangar and you will be briefed from there, hooah?"
"Hooah!", all the platoon members responded in unison. Lieutenant Sager got on the radio with Edwards.
         "Tomahawk actual to Papa Bear."
         "Go Tomahawk actual."
"We are approximately one hour out."
"10-4 we'll be ready for you. Papa Bear out."
After that long hour of waiting, the truck finally approaches the security gate. The soldiers in the back can barely hear the guards order the driver to open the back door. A few seconds later, the back door opens and the guards inspect the truck. Afterwards, the truck is waved through the gate and parks near one of the hangars that has 3 guards armed with M4A1s. The soldiers jump out of the truck and rush into the hangar, with the truck following. The soldiers are assigned cots and sleep for the night. Private First Class Donald Kidder get first fire watch.
