Just as the glue can connect broken parts,
The Heavenly Father does fill empty hearts –
For we shop with these wobbly-wheeled shopping carts,
Checking out all of the grace He imparts…
Strong, sturdy boats can withstand raging storms,
Remain atop oceans as treachery forms,
Yet a discarded bottle does eclipse wintry norms,
Not calling for help from the rescuing swarms!
The boat stays a-float, but the bottle does, too;
While the captain’s quite sure, like his seafaring crew,
That God is our savior, and the ocean so blue,
But the message contained in the bottle’s so true!
A very quaint message: please keep up your guard,
With options a-plenty, and decisions so hard –
What lies in the center is a broken glass chard,
A life of regret, so terribly marred…
