A Heart On a Mission

My heart kept beating, searching for the one.

It went looking, it wouldn't stop till it was done.

I tried to think about something other,

But those ideas would always be smothered.

MY heart wanted another half,

It would keep walking down that same path.

No matter what troubles lie ahead.

My heart wouldn't stop, untill it was dead.

There was a guy who i would always see,

I would catch him looking at me.

But he wasn't interested, or so i thought,

Until one day that i gave him a shot.

Now my heart can rest easy, its work is done.

It rests while we sit here, under the sun.

We sit together, i am cuddled under his arm,

He keeps me safe away from all harm.
