Fire burning the skin
of the corrupt among us.
Saving the pure ones.

The chill of man's soul
ignited by the flame of
their epiphany.

The beast is unleashed,
their true intentions made clear.
The ugly creatures.

We shriek at the sight.
We are now our childhood fears.
We are now the beasts.

The strangers, we are.
The rapists, we have become.
Hatred has filled us.

As we watch ourselves,
our control just out of reach.
These monsters we are.
