Where the family
Where the happiness
Where the holidays
Spent together

I set the table for one
I read alone
Alone I watch tv

Off they go
To dinner
To movies
To gatherings

I wait
I pray
Beseeching

I turn off the lights
Turn down the covers
Alone in cold covers
