Now I am alone - my fears are manifested
I walk a barren, silent desert
There is no oasis to revive my aching throat
No shade to soothe my fire-ravaged skin
No rest for my weary feet now
For onward I must trudge
through this searing wasteland
I am parched - I thirst
I am starved - I hunger
I am without the strength I always knew
and now too weak to even uplift my voice
Call down the heavens to splash their life
upon my upturned and sorrowed face
To rejuvenate my pained heart
For here I am without a name
Without warmth though the endless light
blinds and burns me to the very core
And alone I will make the desert my home
for here at least I can feel alive
