Follow vampire Mabel Bennet/Caroline Williams as she discovers her past, present and future

When we arrived, chaos enveloped us. We saw Lucy hunched in the ally behind the bakery. She was crying hysterically.
“Lue,” I cooed, “Lucy, what’s wrong? What happened?”
She just continued shaking and sobbing, rocking back and forth. May appeared and grabbed Lucy. I was genuinely concerned. Both of the girls vanished.
I span around and saw several things at once. There were 3, no, 4 cop cars, and an ambulance. Dozens of people were crying and shaking, several were crowding something. I was curious, no, I was terrified.
I walked slowly towards the space, and gasped. I saw Alexander’s arm, misshapen. I lurched closer and saw a bloody head, not his blood. I smelt the fresh feed on him. Before I confirmed it, I knew Alexander Blake, leader of the Circle, was dead. Permanently dead, not vampire dead.
I let out a yelp and hurried away towards a less crowded shape, a bloodless human. He looked to be in his thirties with a beard and handgun at his hip. Alexander was protecting Lucy. He died for her, and May was destroyed. And now, May had Lucy.
I ran before I knew what I was doing. I needed to find Lue, I didn’t want to loose two Circle members in one day and certainly not one I liked, loved. I realized May would take her somewhere abandoned, where she couldn’t be heard or seen.
I knew Lucy, if still alive, had moments left, and I had no clue where to find her. Lucy, I telepathically searched, Lue, where are you? Lucy?
She is either dead and I was too late or I’m going to be too late, my anxiety struck. I needed to find her. Her last moments were drawing near.
