Loneliness with a happy ending. If you want to be part of the titling process let me know.
Walking among a sea of people yet I feel alone,
Ever searching for objects unknown;
I now know that I’ve been searching all my life,
Hoping that my prize is worth the strife.

The faces around me are blank, expressionless, cold.
Frozen, still so long they’ve begun to mold
It clings to their faces, they can’t see the light.
They’ve become blinded, biased in their sight.

Paralyzed, unchanging; set in their ways.
They see black and white; oblivious to a sea of greys.
Then I see you, smiling and radiant.
You banish the haze.

For just a moment the light shines through,
And I figure it out; I’ve been searching for you.
You're too good for this world but I ask you to stay.
I beg you, I won't return to the sea of grey.

You shake your head, a sad smile on your face.
Beautiful even in despair,
Eyes brimming with drops of grace.
I understand, we aren't meant for this place.

You take my hand and I see it too.
Awestruck, I look above,
No longer grey but a sea of blue.
I'm blinded by a passing dove.
