Rainbow Lost In The Rain

Moving forward, no peace of cake
Guilt’s an anchor for heavens sake
Twists and turns with new discovery
Self destruction and then recovery

A boat load of memories attack my brain
You look for a rainbow lost in the rain
God forgives and infractions are gone
That may be good but regrets hanging on

You wake and hope, needing new perspective
Trying to clear the conscience not to effective
You know what is right and continue to fight
This inner struggle can be a devils delight

Time is a healer, so I’ve been told 
To find peace in the future will I have to grow old
