Shooting Stars

Would you wish on a shooting star,
If you were given the chance?
Or would you leave your fate alone,
If something horrible
Was about to happen,
Could you dream your life away?

A half- life in your dreams,
Could be so much better,
Than living here,
When everything is wrong,
Maybe your hopes and wishes
Are more real
Than this world,
Even if you always fall back
To Earth,

If you could see it from my eyes,
Maybe you’d come back
To talk to me,
We would work it out,
I said that I would
Always be there for you,
But I can’t be,
If you’re never around,
So will you please come back,
And wish on shooting stars?
