A mother not allowing her daughter to share the love with her father.
A Mothers Pain

(C) 2008 Colin Johnson

You are the revenge for your mother’s pain.
That is the truth
Still I get the blame.
Growing up without her father
All she had was his name.
Why should her daughter have it any better?
Everything should remain the same.
You have become her treasure
Having you around is her greatest pleasure.
She will do anything to keep you at her home.
She wants you to stay and be her own.
She is afraid that one day she will be alone.
Controlling your thoughts and all that you do
Will guarantees her fears will never come through.
And that is the fear of losing you.
But the Lord knows my thoughts
The Lord knows my heart,
He also knows that I did my part.
By being the best father I could be
And all the things that you have meant to me.
