Unappreciated

You got me feeling unappreciated
All I need is understanding to come from you
But it’s like all I say goes in one ear and out the other
When it comes to how I feel.
But once you see that I’m upset
You’re holding me, kissing me
Trying to coax me to do what’s on your mind
Like that’s all I need
But it’s not going to work
Not anymore on me
I’ve taken more than I can very well stand
I’m not in to play games
Others call love a game, but I’m not one of them
Love’s as serious to me as life itself
I’m feeling now as if you don’t really care
That you don’t care about me
Feeling like you’re taking me for granted
Feeling like you just settled for me
Because you felt you couldn’t do better than me
Since you have me, you could treat me better
