The Spiritual Lantern

The sky reaches down
With cold, gray fingers.
And through the veil
A lantern lingers
That lights the trees
With autumn boast
Where shades of gold
And crimson coast
Through, under and in betwixt,
An earthly splendor
And godly mix.
