You asked me to be in your life
I did not choose you, you chose me
Tried to make your life a better place for you
Never cared that I gave you my all
Because all wanted was for you to smile!

Even though you did not care
I was always there  through it all
Tried to make you strong
Even made you feel you belong here!

I know you are weak but showed you are strong
Many things have happened in your past
Things you could never let go
Get over it! we all have a past..

I never asked for anything in return
Come to you for strength, but you are weak
You turn me away and left me astray

Or was this a reason to push me away?
