This is a poem I wrote to my eldest niece for her High School Graduation -- enjoy!
At last, you’re 18 and its graduation day.

Years from now you’ll look back and see,

This was only the commencement of the accomplishments you’ve made.

Since day one - I knew you were a star.

Remember how I used to do your hair and dress you up just to go take pictures in the backyard?

Those days are long gone.

Now you’re all grown.

It’s been a pleasure watching you transform into the young woman that you’ve become.

Beautiful

Loving

Smart

Outspoken

Headstrong

Dang, niece I’m going to miss you when you’re gone!

But there’s nothing in life that I’d rather see, than you going away to perfect your inner beauty.

Remember:

Focus on YOU!

Always lead,

Never follow

What you can do today, don’t put off until tomorrow!

And these boys are all talk,

Unless they actions follow!

Let ‘em know off the top - you’re not the one - and the weak one’s won’t even bother!

Weed ‘em out  (all that glitters is not gold)

Your Priceless niece,

Worth more than the world!

Patience is a virtue – all goods things come in due time!

Always hold your head high

Walk with pride

Because they wouldn’t be hating if they didn’t see your potential inside!

When your “friends” turn faulty,

Take it in stride,

Pray about the B.S…

You can overcome ALL obstacles with God on your side!

Polish yourself

Get ready to SHINE!

Where you’ve come from is nothing compared to where your destiny lies!

Stay smiling Zoya,

ESPECIALLY when things get tough,

and remember you’ll always be my………

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!!!

Love Forever and Always,

Your Aintie
