Chapter 2 Last updated: 05/15/10
I think it is important to make clear that at this point in my existence, time did not exist. Time is by its very nature a product of mortality. When you are immortal eternity means nothing. There was no night and day in the city. We drew our strength from the Source and therefore had no need for rest or sleep. As a result of the Harmony we moved instinctively as a unit and had no need of “timing” to make it work. Because of this, sequences of events were determined by responsibility. I did not have a “time” to report for training, I just knew when I was done with what I was required to do, it was time to train. The Harmony played a part in this as well.

So after Jophiel showed me to my quarters I began exploring the city. And there really are no words to adequately describe it. The city’s layout was circular. At the very center of the city was The Source, what many referred to as the throne room. Most angels never get to go there, ever. We knew The Source existed because wecould sense it and draw strength from it and because the Council told us it did.  The second division of angels, of which I was a part, only got to go there when they completed their training and were basically commissioned to their duty. The first division, the Seraphim, Cherubim and Erelim often were summoned to The Source for orders, commendations or reprimand.

The city was designed in such a way that there were rings around the Source, much as lines of defense. Immediate to the Source was the inner circle occupied by the Council and the Erelim that assisted them.
