         Ecuador



My heritage I must speak of,

The exotic world I love,

The majesty of the mountains,

The beauty of their fountains,

The condor soaring over the peaks,

The jungle below that never weakens,

The lush green of vegetation,

The delightful difference of animal variation,

The Amazon River flowing strong,

More magnificent than the mighty Mekong,

The home of my ancestors,

The temporary resting place of my brothers and sisters,

Where the earth, sky, and heavens are one,

And the luster of the land can never be undone,

Alas, if only I could see it and satisfy my thirst,

However, this is only one great work,

Of God Almighty, ruler of the universe.
