I lie here, empty, in the consuming silence,
The memories tearing away at me,
Crying softly in the drowning silence,
I watch the shadows swallow the room.

Let me fall into the sky,
And pierce the perfect veil,
Distort the image of the drifting clouds,
As I give my final farewell.

And I'll look back on happier times,
